My hometown is mid-city Chicago. Growing up, I enjoyed the great museums and the city’s many attractions. I met my husband, Joe, in Alaska, where we lived for twenty years and raised our family. I taught school and worked in our family businesses. Our Alaskan experience and world travels resulted in a rich life of adventure. After purchasing the Natural Bridge property, Joe and I (and others) threw ourselves into creating a special place for fitness and lifestyle changes. Twenty years of welcoming guests to the Spa and providing a caring, rejuvenating environment makes me very proud.
Rachel Miller - General Manager
I am originally from Juneau, Alaska and also spent several years of my youth in Pensacola, Florida. I am very fortunate to have had the opportunity to travel with my family and gain an appreciation for other cultures. I attended the University of Tennessee at Knoxville and earned a degree in Russian Language and World Business. As you can see, I am only putting to use the business aspect of my education (not much Russian used in Wayne County)! I love my job at TFS, and it feels like one big family with all the wonderful staff and guests with whom to share this beautiful place. I live close to the Spa with my husband, Barry, and our children.
Kimi Kelley - Fitness Director
I have always been an active person. I love the outdoors, horseback riding, hiking, and canoeing. I started lifting weights in 1992 and fell in love with the muscle burn. I began at TFS in 2001 as a walk leader and weight room attendant. I decided I wanted to teach aerobics and got group fitness certified in 2002. I am also certified in personal training, water aerobics, and Pilates. My passion is helping people change their lives to become fit and healthy, and I love my job at Tennessee Fitness Spa!
Belinda Jones - Head Chef
I have been employed at Tennessee Fitness Spa for over twelve years. Eight of those years, I have had the pleasure of serving as your dietary manager. With a degree in Fitness and Nutrition, plus several cooking, catering, and special diet classes, I have obtained the knowledge that enables me to develop a dietary plan that not only helps you lose weight, but also creates a healthier you in the process. My job gives me the opportunity to assist our guests with various dietary issues ranging anywhere from food allergies to diabetes, Crohn’s Disease, and other conditions. It has been a joy to be part of such a wonderful team here at TFS, and I hope to continue for a long time.
Diane Smith - Head Housekeeper
I was born and raised in Michigan. At nineteen, I joined the Air Force and was stationed at Tinker AFB in Oklahoma. After my tour was over, I went to work at the Federal Reserve Bank, where I met, and eventually married, my husband Bob. In 1999, we moved to Tennessee, and in 2000, I began working at Tennessee Fitness Spa, where I continue to be the Director of Housekeeping.
Stephen Brown - Maintenance Director
I was raised in New York state and moved to Tennessee in 2002. My wife and I are fortunate to have our oldest son and family living right across the road from us. Our youngest son and grandson live nearby, in Georgia. Our family appreciates the lifestyle Wayne County offers, and the natural surroundings are enjoyed by all of us. My hobbies of woodworking and love of nature make my job as TFS Maintenance Director that much more meaningful. I am grateful to our guests who return year after year, always appreciative of our staff’s hard work.
Dean Ware - Grounds Beautification
After military service, I moved from Chattanooga to Middle Tennessee, relocating in a remote area of Wayne County. I had no electricity for ten years, in which time I built my house, educated my children at home, grew my food in my garden, and learned about plants and human health. Tennessee Fitness Spa gave me an opportunity for employment and a friendly relationship with the guests.
Dale Walls - Lawn and Grounds Maintenance
I began working at Tennessee Fitness Spa in 2006. I am from Wisconsin originally. After moving to Tennessee in 1982, I helped my parents run the restaurant at Natural Bridge in its first year. I have always enjoyed the beauty and history of the Natural Bridge. It is great after all these years to be able to come back again.
Debbie Krieger - Security Director
I moved to Waynesboro, Tennessee from Dallas, Texas in September of 1995. I have been married to my husband, Ray, for thirty years, and we have three children and seven grandchildren. I started working at Tennessee Fitness Spa in November of 1995, and I am the Spa’s security director.
